On Oct. 8, Green Savits filed a complaint on behalf of a client who alleges they were wrongfully terminated from their administrative position for the Borough of Manville as retaliation for investigating improper medical benefits received by the borough's attorney, as well as for complaining about sexual harassment by a Borough Council member who later voted to terminate our client's employment. This case is currently in the discovery phase.
On Sept. 1, partner Glen Savits was named Employee Co-Chair of the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Committee of Labor and Employment Law division of the American Bar Association.
On Aug. 9, Mr. Savits spoke at a seminar at the Water Club in Atlantic City for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on the recent New Jersey Earned Sick Leave law. Mr. Savits will reprise the seminar at the Delta Hotel in Iselin, N.J. on Nov. 25.
In June, Mr. Savits was named co-chair of the membership committee of the Employment Law Group of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
On March 1, Mr. Savits was admitted to practice law in North Carolina.
